Crispy Maitake Mushrooms

While Maitake mushrooms are delicious on their own, they make an impressive side dish with a few additions.

This is one of our go-to dishes – we make it almost every week. Crispy Maitake Mushrooms are addictive and pair beautifully with a bed of yogurt.

Here is my version of Crispy Maitake Mushrooms:

Ingredients:

  • Maitake mushrooms
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Greek yogurt or labneh
  • Chilli crisp or infused olive oil (optional)

You’ll see that this recipe is all about prepping your gorgeous Maitake mushrooms. After this step, it’s just some simple steps of drizzling with olive oil and seasoning and it’s ready to throw in the oven.


Recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 F convection.

  2. Break apart the Maitake mushrooms into florets, and arrange on a lined baking sheet in a single layer.

  3. Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper, stir to coat and rearrange in a single layer.

  4. Bake for 15-20mins. Check at 15mins and continue cooking until browned.
