If you love the Dubai chocolate bar, you are going to lose your mind over the Dubai chocolate nests!
These Dubai Chocolate Nests are a recipe you absolutely must try – this may be a top 3 all-time dessert for me. The crispy butter shell is the perfect vessel for the rich filling, which is topped with subtly sweet dark chocolate and kissed with a bit of Maldon salt. Absolute Perfection! These will stay good in an airtight container for a week, so you can make these ahead of time too.
Quite frankly, the crunchy, rich pistachio filling in Dubai chocolate deserves its own series of recipes, so I will definitely be brainstorming new excuses to enjoy this mixture.
Step 1: Dubai Chocolate Filling Recipe:
- 3 oz. Butter
- 250 Grams Shredded Phyllo Dough Kadayif (the same thing as Kataifi)
- 600 Grams Pistachio Creme
- 1.25 oz Tahini
- Good Pinch of Salt
Once you’ve made your filling, it’s ready to use in chocolate bars or other desserts. I don’t know how, but the toasted Kadayif stays crispy in the mixture.

Step 1 Instructions:
- Melt half of your butter in a large skillet.
- Add half of your Kadayif and toast until golden brown, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
- Repeat with the rest of the butter and Kadayif.
- In a separate bowl, combine the pistachio creme, tahini, and salt. Stir well.
- Stir in the toasted Kadayif.

Step 2: Dubai Chocolate Nest Recipe:
- Dubai chocolate filling (recipe above)
- 1 Package Phyllo Dough Sheets
- 1 Stick Butter
- Dark Chocolate
- Maldon or large sea salt
- Mini-Muffin Tins
The chocolate bars are great, but we found an even better way to enjoy this delectable filling – in a crispy phyllo nest.

Step 2 Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350 F.
- Defrost the phyllo dough sheets and cut into 2” by 2” squares (roughly).
- Melt the butter and brush each muffin compartment.
- In each muffin compartment, layer in squares of phyllo dough brushed with butter until you have a cohesive phyllo cup without any gaps.
- Push down the bottom, which will help the layers adhere and stick together.
- Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Using a small scoop or spoon, add about a tablespoon of filling to each cup.
- Melt and drizzle dark chocolate on top and sprinkle with flaky salt.
