This pink delight has a lower alcohol content than a traditional Gimlet. It is perfect for a girls’ night or a Galentine’s Day Party.

Wow-O-Wow, this is a gorgeous cocktail. I could drink this one every single day. It is bright with fresh lime juice and zest, but the pomegranate syrup adds a gorgeous sweetness.

Low Alcohol: This recipe is a lower ABV version of the traditional gimlet, which would have 4x the alcohol. If you are looking for a full-proof version, use 5 parts gin, 1 part lime juice, and 1 part syrup. Also, really delicious.

Note: Here are some fun tools for keeping your cocktail garnishes in place.

Recipe (1 serving)
4 parts Gin
3 parts lime juice
3 parts Pomegranate Syrup (Recipe Below)

  • Add your ingredients to a shaker filled with ice.
  • Shake vigorously until fully incorporated.
  • Strain your drink and serve chilled coupe.
  • Dust with fresh lime zest and garnish with a candied orange or lime wheel.

Gin I used: Marin Coastal Gin

Pomegranate Syrup

  1. Combine equal parts pomegranate juice and sugar in a saucepan (I used 4 cups of each for my recipe in the video above – this amount yields a larger batch. If you only need this syrup for the cocktail, I’d recommend using 1-2 cups of each).

  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then turn down to a low temperature and simmer for 45 minutes.

  3. Allow to cool and enjoy in your favorite cocktail, on top of ice cream or other desserts.
